India’s National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP) envisages putting 6 million electric vehicles on roads by 2020 and aims to make the country an all-electric vehicle market by 2030.
India’s ambitious all electric car target needs a powerful push. Shri Nitin Gadkari -The Honorable Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways reiterated that the mission will be accomplished at any cost and for that all measures along with required infrastructure plan will be chalked out soon.
In South India, The Karnataka state cabinet approved the Karnataka Electric Vehicle & Energy Storage policy, and became the first to have such a policy in place. The policy aims to promote research & development in electric mobility and grow the sector.
Telangana State is coming up with a policy, backed by necessary incentives, to promote manufacturing of electric vehicles, EV batteries and battery charging infrastructure. As a token of its commitment towards eco-friendly vehicles, Telangana government has decided to allow only EVs to take care of last-mile transport at all metro stations which are likely to start operations from November 2017.
Similarly, the Government of Andhra Pradesh is the first state in India which has adopted smart and electric waste disposal vehicles and also planning to come with an attractive policy shortly.
In these above mentioned favorable market conditions, I’m glad to know that Eco Sure Events & Media is conducting EVREX 2017 – South India’s First & Prominent Electric Vehicles Conference & Exhibition on 15th & 16th November at HITEX, Hyderabad.
The organizers informed me that EVREX Expo is South India’s prominent Electric Vehicle Showcase and is presenting the latest technological advancements and innovations in environment friendly 2, 3 & 4 wheeled electric vehicles, Products and services related to this sector.
Expos like these are important to showcase latest technology and products under one roof where the customer can touch and feel the products and also experience the latest techno comforts.
Needless to say, Such exhibitions draw the attention of the policy makers and the general public towards the often ignored aspects of the electric mobility in contributing towards cleaner environment and reducing dependence on the crude oil.
I congratulate and wish Senior Journalist and CEO of ECO SURE Mr. K.S.Murthy and his entire team a grand success and we are glad to be a part of this highly informative and value based event which will cater the needs of many Electric Vehicle industrialists, enthusiasts and students.
